Winter - Gymnastics
My name is Moriah, I am the head gymnastics coach for Ridgeline High school. I am so excited for the upcoming season and starting the program off right. I was a competitive club gymnast and competed in high school for 4 years at University High School. While on the U-Hi gymnastics team I had the opportunity to go to state 3 out of the 4 years, win regionals as a team, and get to state as an individual all-around gymnast. I was the Cheney High School gymnastics coach the last 2 years and have experience coaching at northwest gymnastics as well. Tarah Chess will also be joining the coaching staff and has a lot of background in gymnastics, both as a gymnast and coaching. She was a competitive club gymnast almost her whole life as well as competed in high school for 4 years at University High School. I had the pleasure of getting to be on the team with her at U-Hi that won regionals and made state as a team and I am so excited to get to coach with her and start this program!
Gymnastics is a sport that anyone can join, whether you have experience in the sport and want to learn new, higher level skills or have never been in a gymnastics gym and want to learn to do a cartwheel we would love to see you come out! Our goal for this season and program is to make it a fun and inclusive environment. We are a no cut program and there is no pressure to compete if you feel uncomfortable doing so.
Practices will begin on November 15th and will go through February 26th which is the weekend of our state meet. We will be practicing M-F from 3:45-5:45 and Saturdays if necessary to make up practices but will be determined by the team.
I hope to see girls come out this year and start off the Ridgeline Gymnastics program on a good foot.
If you have any questions about our season, coaching philosophy, practices, etc. please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected]
