The Ridgeline Dance Team will focus on being a spirit squad that supports Ridgeline at most home fall and winter varsity sports. As a team, we will dance to the pep band music/overhead music on the sidelines, support the cheerleaders in their crowd involvement, and perform half time routines a few times each season. Our goal is to be another support for our sports teams. Our dance team will have a college spirit squad emphasis instead of focusing on competing. We will support our school and be a more integral part of the overall gameday experience.
As a coach, my goal is to give students the additional opportunities to be in a spirit position within the school. As a dancer myself I was not prepared for what collegiate dancing looked like. There is much more gameday material and sideline routines that take place. In order to better prepare our dancers for the potential of dancing in college, I wanted to create an opportunity that gives them firsthand experience. I danced at Washington State University in college as well as dancing 10 years combined in the AFL, NBA, and NFL as a professional dancer/ cheerleader. I can’t wait to bring my gameday entertainment knowledge to Ridgeline High School!
Auditions are scheduled for 10/10 - 10/14 6:15am-7:15am in the main gym.
