Advanced Placement (AP) Participation

Taking an Advanced Placement (AP) class provides RHS students an opportunity to experience the rigor of high-level classwork that can earn college credit when the accompanying AP exam is taken, passed, and approved by your desired college/university. AP classes offer students rigorous instruction at a national level while requiring students to meet a higher level of responsibility. Each course culminates in a standardized college-level assessment, or AP Exam that takes place in May of each year. 

 

College Credit

All students who are willing and academically prepared to accept the challenge of a rigorous academic curriculum.

 

Costs

Each AP Exam has a fee of $98.  Cancellation fee: Students who cancel exam participation after mid-November (final date TBD) will be fined $40.  This includes those who drop the course at the semester break.  A drop form must be completed after the mid-November date. Late fee: Students who order an AP exam after the mid-November date will incur an additional $40 charge.
