Advanced Placement (AP) Participation
Taking an Advanced Placement (AP) class provides RHS students an opportunity to experience the rigor of high-level classwork that can earn college credit when the accompanying AP exam is taken, passed, and approved by your desired college/university. AP classes offer students rigorous instruction at a national level while requiring students to meet a higher level of responsibility. Each course culminates in a standardized college-level assessment, or AP Exam that takes place in May of each year.

Fees & Deadlines
- Each AP Exam has a fee of $100.
- Students eligible for Free/Reduced meals will have a reduced fee of $15 per exam.
- Exams canceled after November 6th but before March 12th will be fined $40 and the student’s account will be refunded $60. This includes dropping the course at semester. A drop form must be completed after the mid November date.
- Tests canceled after March 12th will NOT be refunded for any portion of the exam cost.
- Late exam orders after November 6th will also incur a $40 additional charge. Total charge of a late ordered exam will be $140.
- ALTERNATE/LATE TEST POLICY: At Ridgeline High School, we do not offer AP Late exams unless the student (1) has a RHS sponsored athletic contest directly during the test, or (2) if the student is wanting to take two exams that are offered at the same time. We will not be offering late tests for non-school related functions including but not limited to club sports, family vacations, graduations, etc. Please review dates prior to registering for an AP exam.
- Scores are available to students through the AP College Board profile on July 1.
